It represents the FWA’s annual celebration of managerial achievement across the Premier League and the English Football League.
This year, Arne Slot headlines a list of five Premier League managers being recognised for their achievements. The Dutchman will be inaugurated into the FWA’s Hall of Fame: “The FWA regard this function as our Hall of Fame for managers in the north and five of this year’s recipients are being inducted into that category for the first time.” Joining him at the ceremony will be Eddie Howe of Newcastle United, who is being honoured for ending a remarkable 70-year trophy drought by guiding Newcastle to victory in the Carabao Cup last season.
Three additional Premier League managers will receive recognition for leading their clubs to Championship promotion, completing the Premier League representation at the Manchester ceremony. Daniel Farke of Leeds United, Scott Parker of Burnley, and Regis Le Bris of Sunderland all guided their sides back to the top flight, with each manager also becoming first-time Hall of Fame inductees. Beyond the Premier League contingent, five additional managers representing the English Football League will be honoured for their promotion-winning achievements.
