The Reds scored two quickfire goals through Hugo Ekitike immediately after the half-time break, and they looked on course for a victory before a surprise turnaround.

Speaking after the 3-3 draw, Slot said that the Reds played very well during large parts of the encounter and believes the club did enough to win the game. I think we played quite well to very well during large parts of the game and went 2-0 up.

"It's 2-1 and not many moments later the first chance they had it was 2-2. Then we go up and you think you've done enough to win the game and then a set piece leads to the 3-3." Liverpool could have moved within goal difference of fourth-placed Chelsea with a win.
