However, the 47-year-old still believes he has the full support of the club's hierarchy.

He was quizzed on his future in Friday's press conference and made it clear that he felt valued by those in power at Anfield."I have said many times I feel a lot of support from the owners and from Richard [Hughes] and Michael [Edwards] as well, and as weird as it might sound, I also feel the support of the fans," said Slot."When we went for a walk around Paris before the game, even though we'd just lost 4-0 at City, the fans [who saw us] started singing: 'We love you Liverpool'."After we were outplayed for 90 minutes, they were still singing for us at the away end. The club knows the period of time we are in and in the meantime I have their complete support."It comes after reports suggested that Liverpool had no plans to axe Slot, instead pledging to afford him time to reverse their poor form. They will have the opportunity to return to winning ways against Fulham on Saturday evening before the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against PSG next week.Slot also spoke about the departing Andy Robertson after it was confirmed that he would be leaving Anfield at the end of the season.Slot firmly believes he has the full backing of Liverpool's owners (Image: Getty)The defender has been reduced to a back-up role for much of this season, with Milos Kerkez taking over as Liverpool's first-choice right-back."He had many great seasons over here as a player but I think people got to know him as a great person as well," said Slot."I got to know him.

Every team-mate will tell you how funny he is and how great a person he is and that has been shown a lot on social media as well. What I remember most about him is the intesity he is always playing with."We have learned something about intensity two days ago, but I can make Robbo making a press from left full-back to right-back a few years ago and I showed that to the players I was working with then."He has won everything here, really loves this club, it has been a great nine years at the club, but we saw this season he didn't play as much as he used to and as a result of that he is leaving.
