They also reserved £490.7m for teams competing in the Europa League, and £247.5m for teams taking part in the Conference League.Like every other club in the Champions League, Arsenal and Liverpool received £16.2m from UEFA simply for participating. The governing body also compensate clubs that finish in the top eight and progress directly to the last 16, so Arsenal and Liverpool each secured a further £9.6m for their achievements.

Having booked a place in the quarter-finals, both clubs have now another £10.9m to their coffers.Should Arsenal or Liverpool reach the semi-finals they will collect an extra £13m and then if either progress to the final it is another £16.1m, respectively. The Champions League winners are granted a further £5.7m.
