He has verbally agreed terms with Real Madrid, and could sign a pre-contract in January. Contact has been established with his entourage with the aim of finalising a pre-contract this winter.

Konate likewise has a contract until June next year, and he has not been convinced to renew. If Konate were to move on, the Reds could sign Marc Guehi as his successor on a free transfer from Crystal Palace.

Guehi's current deal expires in June next year. He has no plans of penning an extension and could make the move to Anfield next summer.
