“He was incredible today, incredible.”How good was Wirtz against Serbia?Having struggled so badly with Liverpool recently – and been very much put in the spotlight by the English media – Wirtz really needed a performance like the one he delivered in Munich.Often criticised for being loose with the ball for his club, the 23-year-old completed 75 of 79 passes while also being successful in two out of three attempted dribbles. Two of his three shots found the target, while Wirtz also managed to create a whopping six chances during the match.Duels are something he can improve on, and he won only three of seven contested on the ground, while Liverpool fans may be concerned that he was also dispossessed twice during the game. When he plays like this he is a joy to watch, and with one more game to come before he returns to Liverpool, hopefully his confidence will be sky-high to deliver in a similar fashion for the Reds.
