Bayern Munich are still interested in signing Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, according to a concerning new transfer update from journalist Christian Falk. Liverpool will be aware that Ngumoha is out of contract in 2028, and that other top clubs would love to have him, so tying him down to a new deal is of the utmost importance.
Now, journalist Falk has claimed on his website, CF Bayern Insider, that Bayern are still in contact over a move for the £58.4m-rated Englishman in the near future: “It is TRUE: Bayern Munich were prepared to pay €70m [£58.3m] for Rio Ngumoha. So, you see, the club’s decision-makers feel he’d be a great option for Bayern Munich, which is why Ngumoha is still on Bayern’s shortlist.
Bayern are still in talks with Ngumoha’s camp, however, and he could be an option for the summer.” Liverpool must tie Rio Ngumoha down to a contract extension Ngumoha is one of Liverpool’s biggest assets currently, given his world-class potential, with Reds legend Jamie Carragher describing him as a “future superstar.” Seeing him depart for Bayern or someone else would, therefore, be an enormous blow for the club, and is something that must be avoided in 2027. Hopefully, the winger is happy at Liverpool, which has been reported, and he has aspirations of becoming a Reds icon over time.
