Liverpool have made a decision regarding potentially selling Mohamed Salah at the end of this season, according to a significant new update. There are some who feel that age is simply catching up with the 33-year-old Salah, but anyone of a Reds persuasion will hope that he is just low on confidence.

Salah signed a new two-year deal at Anfield earlier this year, but a 2026 exit isn’t impossible if he continues to struggle, allowing Liverpool to avoid losing him on a free in 2027. The update also adds that Salah “is likely to have the biggest say on his Liverpool future, due to his status around Anfield”, which hints at the Egyptian not completely ruling out a departure at the end of the current campaign.

Salah’s form has been so poor of late, especially compared to the world-class level he has found in the past eight years, with his use of the ball proving to be sloppy, and the goals and assists drying up. Given his age, it is only natural to wonder if Salah has peaked, though, with his pace not as electric as it once was, and his general impact in games decreasing, too.
