Liverpool have Bradley Barcola top of their shortlist as they prioritise signing another wide player this summer as work continues behind the scenes on a potential dealLiverpool have already avoided a situation this summer that Paris Saint-Germain currently find themselves in. At the start of this month, both Bradley Barcola and Dominik Szoboszlai entered the final two years of their contracts.Four weeks later, the Reds midfielder has signed a new five-year deal, while talks between Barcola's representatives and PSG appear to have broken down beyond reconciliation.

The France international is top of their shortlist this summer. But with PSG playing hardball over a player who has been a key part of their squad during their back-to-back Champions League-winning seasons, they want mega money for the lightning quick winger - in excess of £140m. After breaking the club's transfer record last summer with both Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak, PSG's demand would mean another club record. But The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) Football Observatory have exclusively told the ECHO that their statistical model estimates Barcola's transfer value at just under £85million.

However, not being a guaranteed starter for PSG, as he was not for France at this summer's World Cup, is also noted.Barcola started half of his country's eight matches in the United States, playing the full 90 minutes just once, in their round of 32 win over Sweden. Liverpool have shown their hand before, and with only Victor Munoz coming in to bolster their forward line less than a month before the Premier League season starts, they are in an unenviable position to negotiate.FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FC FACEBOOK PAGE!
