MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES Also in the running to take over at Craven Cottage, Ange Postecoglou comes in at 5/2 as well as Scott Parker at 7/2, with the latter being linked with a return to Fulham.Credit: Hasan Karim, Breaking MediaAdditionally, there is an outside shout for Roberto De Zerbi to make a comeback to the Premier League with the Cottagers at 4/1.Fulham may look to get ahead of competition for Rodgers by acting sooner rather than laterAlthough Silva is currently expected to leave at the end of the 2025-26 season, if results continue to worsen, he may be forced out of Craven Cottage sooner than first thought.The 48-year-old’s side sit 15th in the Premier League table after 15 games and have only won five matches, calling into question whether he has taken the club as far as he can after five campaigns in west London.Fulham do, however, have a favourable run of fixtures on the horizon, with consecutive games against strugglers: Burnley (13 December), Nottingham Forest (22 December) and West Ham (27 December).



In that run, they also have a Carabao Cup quarter-final at Newcastle on 17 December. This could possibly see the Cottagers make an early move for Rodgers, who is readily available to steer the team to safety before embarking on a full pre-season next summer.
