Bukayo Saka during Arsenal’s win over Everton (Picture: Getty) Bukayo Saka’s form is under the spotlight after he underwhelmed in Arsenal’s crucial Premier League win over Everton. Liverpool legend Steve Nicol is alarmed by Saka’s frustrating spell, insisting he is ‘absolutely struggling’.
Saka has only scored three goals since December (Picture: Getty) ‘Arsenal’s front-three today… I mean again Bukayo Saka is struggling, he’s absolutely struggling for form,’ he said on ESPN. Fellow forward Liverpool star Don Hutchison, meanwhile, has ‘wondered’ if Saka is ‘shattered’ given the volume of football he has played at his young age or has been ‘over-coached’. ‘Mikel Arteta said he had a gut feeling about Max Dowman and he’s basically saying he’s coached the life out of Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke and this kid hasn’t had any coaching yet so he just went out there and played,’ Hutchinson said.

Arsenal matchwinner Max Dowman (Picture: Getty) ‘It was amazing, it was one of those moments that I think we’re going to remember for a long, long time,’ Arteta said. ‘I really enjoyed the relentless desire of the team, action by action, to put everything that we had in to earn the right to win the game. ‘And obviously, the manner in which it happened in the last few minutes, all the celebration, the atmosphere, the energy, the goal from Max, it made it such a special night. ‘For many years, we will remember that we were at the Emirates that night when that 16-year-old kid scored in such an important game when we were trying to win the title. ‘To achieve what he’s done in the context of the game which he’s done it in as well, I think it makes it even more special. ‘I’m really happy for him.
