That helped them net a profit of £128.4m in their accounts for the year ending June 2024, and they are now stating that one of the reasons behind their significant loss this time around is the increased operating costs from the previous year.The Blues’ eye-watering losses this time around have set a new record for clubs in the Premier League, as it smashed through the previous £197.5m total set by Manchester City back in 2010-11.Nevertheless, it has already become clear that they are well-placed to continue to remain on the right side of the PSR equation in the coming years.
