Rumoured Liverpool transfer target Maghnes Akliouche has chosen the club he wants to join in the summer transfer window, according to a new transfer claim. Liverpool have been linked with a move for Akliouche in recent months, with one update saying that he is “almost certain” to move on this summer.

The reigning European champions are seen as the most inviting proposition for him over Liverpool and Manchester United, with the Ligue 1 giants “now advancing in talks over a deal with Monaco.” The update adds that “intermediaries have maintained regular contact with Akliouche’s representatives throughout the summer” as Premier League clubs “assessed whether a deal could be possible”, but it looks as though a move to England is off the table. Liverpool miss out on another top talent to PSG PSG are proving to be a thorn in Liverpool’s side this summer, with RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande also to be joining them over the Reds as well as the £60m-rated Akliouche, with the latter called an “international-level” player by Adi Hutter.

It’s now a case of Liverpool continuing to look at wide options, as they aim to bring in at least one more winger alongside new signing Victor Munoz in the summer transfer window. That said, he is mainly a left-sided player, but Liverpool’s priority has to be bringing in a natural right-sided forward to make up for the loss of Mohamed Salah.
