Arne Slot praised Anfield’s tributes to Diogo Jota, as Wolves manager Rob Edwards labelled Liverpool a “classy club.” Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Wolves was the first meeting of Jota’s former English clubs since his passing. “Every single moment they’ve done what you would hope they do in memory of him, but today again, the away fans showed that it’s not only about our fans but it’s also about fans of other teams.

“Eighteenth minute, they started singing for Diogo, the Wolves fans, and our fans were clapping. “So you guys know and I know for one-and-a-half years now how special English fans are, and today I think we’ve shown to the outside world, the whole world, that it’s not only the players who make this league special but it’s definitely also the fans.” Wolves visit Diogo Jota memorial and Rob Edwards calls Liverpool “classy” Ahead of the match, Wolves‘ team visited Anfield on Friday evening to attend the temporary memorial for Jota outside the Main Stand.
