Diogo Jota‘s sons will join the mascots for Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Wolves, as Anfield prepares for an emotional occasion. It has now been nearly six months since Jota’s tragic passing alongside his brother Andre Silva on July 3.

On Saturday, the Reds host Wolves at Anfield, in the first meeting between Jota’s former clubs since his death. The Times‘ Paul Joyce reports that Jota’s sons, Dinis and Duarte, will walk out with the mascots for the game, in a touching gesture.

“Doing so leads me to think especially of the family of Diogo Jota on what will be their first Christmas without him. “The sense of loss will be particularly strong on Saturday, of course, as it will be the first time that Diogo’s two English teams will meet since his tragic passing.
