Dominik Szoboszlai is at Liverpool to stay after signing a new contract during the summer.Despite rumours that the Hungarian could be eyeing a move to Real Madrid at some point in the future, he committed his future to the Reds until 2031 to end any talk of an exit.Szoboszlai is clearly very happy at Liverpool and has become one of the team’s key players since joining from RB Leipzig in 2023. But while he is enjoying himself, the 25-year-old has now admitted that the infamously mixed English weather is still taking him some time to get used to.

Would you make any other changes to the team too? 👀 Szoboszlai does not like the English weatherThe lure of Real Madrid is not always just to do with the football and status on offer at the Santiago Bernabeu, but the lifestyle in Spain also has an appeal for plenty of footballers. It is easy to see Szoboszlai falling into that bracket, and while speaking to Premier League Productions before Liverpool‘s huge clash against Manchester City on Sunday, the Hungary captain has confirmed that he does see the weather in England as being a negative.“Actually, I like England, but I don’t really like the weather, you know,” he said. “So, that’s the only negative thing about being here in England.

But I never lived anywhere longer before than here.”Szoboszlai was also asked about his best friends at Liverpool, claiming that he is actually close to most of the current group.“To be honest, I’m good with everyone, from my side,” he said. “Obviously with Flo [Wirtz], speaking German.“Milos [Kerkez], Ryan [Gravenberch], Jeremie [Frimpong], we have a really good team in terms of being there for each other.”With Liverpool fans hopeful that Szoboszlai could stay and one day even captain the club, they will hope he can find a way to get used to the cold.
