Dominik Szoboszlai spent part of his international break doing what he does best – entertaining a crowd. The Liverpool skipper made a high-profile appearance in Budapest on Sunday, March 22nd, where he personally fired the starting gun for the 10km Telekom Vivicittá race and the specially named Szoboszlai Futam – or Szoboszlai Run – on the Hungarian capital’s iconic Margaret Island.

The Szoboszlai Futam is a uniquely designed 11.7km race, the distance representing the average number of kilometres Szoboszlai covers during a Hungary international match. Runners arrived from 111 countries across five continents, with over 4,000 international participants making the trip to Budapest specifically for the occasion according to Nemzeti Sport.
