Emery: Elliott’s Aston Villa loan embarrassing

Unai Emery has branded Harvey Elliott’s loan move as ’embarrassing for everyone’. Elliott joined Aston Villa on last summer’s transfer deadline day in a move which would become permanent once he made 10 Premier League appearances.

Emery previously called on Liverpool to change the terms of the loan due to the terms complicating his ability to play Elliott without triggering his £35 million clause. His Villa counterpart has now weighed into the situation and lamented the situation.
