Liverpool will have 21 players in action during the international break, with a number of the Reds’ stars looking to boost their hopes of reaching next year’s World Cup. The break may well come at a good time for Arne Slot and his players, with Liverpool having endured a nightmare week after losing three consecutive games in all competitions, culminating in the weekend loss at Chelsea.
The next week or so though gives the Reds some time away from the rigors of the Premier League and Champions League - although there is still plenty on the line for a lot of them. Fourteen of Liverpool’s senior players will be involved in World Cup qualifiers over the next few days, with six of the club’s youngsters in action for their country’s youth sides, and Alexis Mac Allister will be with Argentina as it plays two friendlies in the United States.
