Photo by Matthias Hangst/Getty Images “Arne Slot is an Edwards and Hughes guy, whilst not untouchable – who is in football – he has a huge amount of credit in the bank, they believe in him, they believe he is still the man for Liverpool and fully believe he will put this right.“Everyone at the club insist that at this moment their full focus is on putting things right.
They know they are better than what they are showing.”Slot likely to be given full season to turn things aroundAlthough fans may be getting restless after seeing their team slip to 11th in the table, RTK have been told not to expect a change in head coach this season. The Reds are confident that results will turn around for them given the quality at Slot’s disposal, but even if that does not happen, a sacking would be a last resort.Instead, it is understood that Liverpool are likely to keep the Premier League-winning manager in charge even if they do drop into the bottom half more permanently.Should that happen, Slot’s position would then be evaluated come the end of the campaign. For now, full faith is being placed in the former Feyenoord boss with Liverpool chiefs still expecting him to have a long and successful career in charge.
