(Credit: Hasan Karim, Breaking Media, Getty Images) Mon 29 December 2025 14:26, UK Brighton could be forced to make a decision about the long-term future of Fabian Hurzeler amid growing discontent from sections of the fanbase.That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that pressure from fans often leads to uncertainty over the manager’s position.Brighton lost 2-1 to Arsenal last time out, extending their run to five games without a win and pushing them down to 13th in the Premier League table.Despite sitting just five points short of the Champions League places, the club had lofty ambitions before the season began, and their inconsistency has raised alarm bells.However, the Seagulls are unlikely to sack their manager as things stand and hope they can reestablish some form after the turn of the year.Credit: ImagoCould Fabian Hurzeler be sacked by Brighton?Brown warned Football Insider in September that Brighton fans are turning on Hurzeler, who has faced questions about his position at the Amex.The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working alongside elite-level managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, insisted that if results don’t improve, Brighton could be forced to make a decision.
