The six-cap England international won Serie A in his first season at the club, but success has been harder to come by since.

Tomori was left on the bench as Milan were beaten 3-0 by his former side Chelsea in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. The former England midfielder managed Tomori during his spell at Derby County and then guided his breakthrough into the first team at Chelsea. Attracting the experienced centre-back from AC Milan would be a huge signing for the Sky Blues, but clearly it is a huge task for Lampard to persuade Tomori with the likes of Liverpool also interested.
