“But the one thing that sort of stuck out for me was, I thought, and this is not sour grapes in any way, but I thought very poor refereeing around corners and the wrestling in the box from both sides. It’s something that I thought the referees this season were going to clamp down on but it was really pronounced last night, and he didn’t clamp down on it.
“I thought there were a few things that he could have brought some cards out for, but I thought a poor refereeing display, but particularly around issues in the box from corners and free kicks, which I thought really that we’ve got to start getting that sort of stuff out of the game.
