Jordon Ibe was part of the Liverpool side when Jurgen Klopp first took over back in 2015, but he now finds himself looking for his ninth different club since leaving AnfieldJordon Ibe has left his latest club after just seven months(Image: Getty Images)Former Liverpool star Jordon Ibe once again finds himself looking for a new club, with the 30-year-old having had his contract at his latest team ripped up after just seven months.Ibe is best remembered for his time at Anfield, where he made 58 appearances and was part of the team when Jurgen Klopp first took over as manager back in 2015. The winger joined Liverpool from Wycombe Wanderers as a teenager, but was sold to Bournemouth for a fee of around $20 million (£15M) in 2016.Since then, his career hasn’t quite gone as it might have been expected.
Ibe has signed for 11 different teams during his time as a professional, taking him from the Premier League all the way to the eighth tier of English soccer.Although he spent the majority of his career in England, he did also sign for Turkish side Adanaspor in 2022, although he didn’t make a single appearance for the club.Having featured in KSI’s Baller League last year, Ibe went on to sign for Isthmian South East outfit Sittingbourne FC, based in Kent, back in October. His stay wouldn’t last long, though, as he left after just 17 days to make the move to Lokomotiv Sofia.The switch to Bulgaria came after a failed move to Swedish side Umea FC last summer, with Ibe making nine appearances for Lokomotiv last season, in which he recorded one assist and picked up a red card.Jordon Ibe and Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool training in 2016(Image: Getty Images)Just seven months into a two-year deal though, Lokomotic has confirmed that Ibe’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.Announcing his departure alongside teammate Ivan Lagundzic, the club said: “They both joined the club in the winter but failed to establish themselves and parted ways.“The management of Lokomotiv wishes them good health, happiness and success in the future!”Back in 2021, Ibe spoke openly about his struggles with mental health and how his challenges prevented him from reaching the heights that had been expected of him back at Liverpool.Get Liverpool's new 2026/27 home kitThis article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it.
