Jordon Ibe’s unpredictable post-Liverpool journey has taken yet another turn, with the winger leaving non-league Sittingbourne – and the UK – just 17 days after joining to sign for the 13th club of his career. He has once again taken the No.
Ibe’s switch to Lokomotiv Sofia, where he is contracted until 2027, marks his latest stop after a short stint with eighth-tier Sittingbourne FC. Ibe was unveiled as a Sittingbourne player on October 28, with the non-league club expressing pride in helping him on “his journey to rediscover the joy of football.” The clubs statement at the time said: “We’re proud to announce that Sittingbourne FC has been entrusted with supporting Jordon on his journey to rediscover the joy of football.
“Jordon was influenced by the many positive things he’s heard about the club, and he believes this is the perfect place to rebuild momentum and showcase his talent. We’re delighted to play a part in helping him get back to where he belongs in the game.” Jordon Ibe was considered a wonderkind under Jurgen Klopp (Image: John Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images) While Sittingbourne had hoped to benefit from Ibe’s ability for longer, it was always understood that his time there was meant to help him climb back up the football ladder.
