Former Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick, has been linked with the vacant role of Sporting Director at Liverpool. The Reds’ current Sporting Director is Julian Ward, who took over from the fantastic Michael Edwards, but he has revealed his plans to leave the club at the end of the season after less than six months in the role.
This is according to Theo Squires of the Liverpool Echo, who claims that Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has a lot of admiration for Rangnick for his work in Germany. Squires claimed: “With Liverpool on the lookout for a new Sporting Director to replace Julian Ward, they could look to former Manchester United man, Ralf Rangnick, who Klopp holds a lot of admiration for.” 🥈| With Liverpool on the lookout for a new sporting director to replace Julian Ward, they could look to former Manchester United man, Ralf Rangnick, who Klopp holds a lot of admiration for. Rangnick’s record with transfers whilst Sporting Director at RB Leipzig was phenomenal. In fact, the only person I would take ahead of the former Manchester United boss would be the return of Michael Edwards, who signed the likes of Andy Robertson, Alisson, Virgil Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum etc.
