La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier this month that Juventus are exploring a move for Alisson as they weigh up replacing under-pressure keeper Michele Di Gregorio ahead of the 2026–27 season. The presence of his former Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalletti in the Juventus dugout is also cited in Italy as a key factor behind their interest.
Now fresh Italian input from journalist Franco Leonetti has all but confirmed that Juventus know that the extension will be triggered, and thus meaning Alisson is likely out of their reach: “It’s understandable that Juventus are looking for a goalkeeper with international experience. “Regarding Alisson, the English club are saying that they would like to respect his contract until June 2027.” For now, the Juventus links look more like an opportunistic push from a club searching for an upgrade in goal than the sign of an imminent exit.
