His current contract expires at the end of the season.Despite being in the twilight of his career, Wijnaldum has impressed in Saudi Arabia, registering 15 goals and six assists in 29 appearances this term.A return to England is believed to be his preference, although no final decision has been made. The Dutch midfielder has spent the past three seasons with Al-Ettifaq, who are currently seventh in the Saudi Pro League with 42 points after 29 matches.
