Marcus Rashford Makes Stance 'Clear' on Shock Man United Return
Marcus Rashford has firmly indicated he has no intention of returning to Manchester United, despite the club sacking manager Ruben Amorim, according to pundit Mick Brown.
Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long loan last summer after falling out with Amorim, who ostracized the England international at Old Trafford. Amorim's recent dismissal might have opened the door for a shock comeback, but insiders insist Rashford is fully committed to staying in Spain.
Barcelona hold a €30m option to buy Rashford permanently at the end of the season, and club members voted 54.6% in favor of making the move official last month. Rashford himself has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain at the Camp Nou.
"What I want is to stay at Barça. It's the ultimate goal... Barça is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles," Rashford told SPORT last month.[1]
In another interview with ESPN in October, the versatile forward added: "Oh yeah, for sure... I'm enjoying this football club and... Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game."[2] He has praised the city, staff, and teammates, noting how welcomed he felt upon arrival and his focus on winning trophies.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have reportedly slammed the door on any Rashford return, showing no interest in reintegrating the 28-year-old despite Amorim's exit.[4] Mick Brown, speaking on his podcast, emphasized: "Rashford has made his stance clear—he has no plans to return to Man United."[3]
Rashford has shone at Barcelona, contributing goals and assists in La Liga and the Champions League. With his contract situation resolved via the buy option, a permanent Blaugrana move appears likely, ending speculation over a United reunion. This development boosts Barcelona's squad depth while signaling the end of Rashford's turbulent Old Trafford era.
