Carragher has now unveiled the squad he would personally select for this summer's tournament and has notably included several players who are widely expected to be absent from Tuchel's announcement on Friday.The Liverpool legend initially named his provisional squad back in January but has since made five alterations to his final selection.



Maguire was also selected by Carragher, with the Sky Sports pundit plainly disagreeing with Tuchel's choice to leave out the Manchester United defender.Maguire took to social media on Thursday evening to confirm his absence from the official England squad. "I was confident I could of played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had," Maguire wrote."I’ve been left shocked and gutted by the decision.

I wish the players, all the best this summer."His family also reacted furiously, with his mother stating she was 'disgusted' by the decision and his brother posting on social media: "This might possibly be the worst decision I’ve ever seen in my life.
