He played well against Real Madrid.
But, my worry about Wirtz is that, when people are saying, ‘oh, he’s got to get used to his teammates’ and stuff like that, but he’s actually played well in Europe.“But, it’s a different game to the Premier League. So, he’s played really well, I think away from home, was it Frankfurt, and played really well against Real Madrid at home.READ MORE: Robbie Fowler just doesn’t understand what some people keep saying about Florian Wirtz at Liverpool“But, he’s found it really tough in the Premier League.
I get it’s early days, but I need to see something.”Florian Wirtz cannot deal with the physicalityOf course, strength is not the only factor that can make someone an efficient footballer in the Premier League, but it will certainly help a lot. Eden Hazard and Bukayo Saka are two more examples of players who are not the strongest but made it work for them in England, with this the route Wirtz needs to go down.At just 22, he has plenty of time to learn, develop and grow, suggesting that once he understands the Premier League fully, he might just go on to set the league alight.
