And, in the Reds’ 1-0 loss on Tuesday, he was arguably Liverpool’s best player with Carragher showering him with praise while live on CBS Sports Golazo. “What happens here, he [Konate] goes through Osimhen, the goalkeeper [Alisson] again, who was outstanding, saved another 1v1, gets injured,” he said.“I don’t know what he’s done, but the injury comes from Konate again; this is happening every game.”Liverpool could end up losing so many more games without Alisson in the netAlisson has probably been Liverpool’s best player this season.
Granted, they do have Giorgi Mamardashvili as their backup this season, but it’s going to be hard for the Georgian to live up to the standards that Alisson has set this term. At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen, but if Alisson is out for an extended period, it’ll be hard for Liverpool to get back to their best in the next couple of weeks.
