Ever since his arrival last summer, Liverpool fans have been left scratching their heads over what the club’s plan was when sanctioning a deal to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.The Reds badly needed a right-back to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, but from his earliest days at the club it has been clear that this is not Frimpong‘s best position.Frustratingly, the Dutchman was never given the chance to really build on anything, with injuries stopping him from finding any kind of rhythm at Anfield. As a result, the right-back shirt is now Frimpong’s to lose.
