Curtis Jones has missed a second Liverpool friendly admit doubts over his future. Jones sat out last weekend’s defeat to Monaco after suffering a hip injury before resuming training in the run-up to a double header with Como.
Andoni Iraola’s side played out a goalless draw in two 35-minute halves against Como at the AXA Training Centre before hosting them at Anfield. Jones is understood to have taken part in a session at Liverpool’s Kirkby base rather than playing any part in the double header of final summer friendlies.
Moves to seal his move to the San Siro have ramped up with the reigning Italian champions sanctioning midfielder Davide Frattesi’s loan to Lazio. But Inter are yet to meet Liverpool’s valuation of Jones in the region of £40 million with their most recent offer of £30M earlier this month still falling short.
