Jurgen Klopp has responded to scrutiny of Florian Wirtz’s start to life at Liverpool. Wirtz’s Anfield career is yet to ignite following a summer move from Bayer Leverkusen which could reach up to £116 million if he meets future clauses.

“I don’t have to worry about Florian Wirtz because his quality is so outstanding,” he told RTL and n-tv. But it’s also normal in life.

“So it doesn’t matter, and everything will be fine.” He added: “I don’t have to worry about Florian because the quality is so outstanding, he’s a talent of the century. He has a stable environment, the club is great in such moments.”
