Liverpool have had their fair share of dodgy transfers over the years. Most of the time, however, things end up working out, and most players that the Reds have brought in have turned out to be successful.

And, if we’re being honest, the arrival of Timo Werner would have had a massive question mark hanging over it, especially with how his stints in England have gone since the Reds’ interest.
The attacker ended up joining Chelsea during Todd Boehly’s initial takeover and, although he did manage to produce the odd moment of class here and there, more often than not, he’d miss the target.To be fair to the German, his versatility would have been very useful to the Anfield outfit, but aside from that, it feels like Liverpool dodged a bullet. So, even though Liverpool aren’t performing at their best, at the moment, at least they don’t have someone such as Werner taking up a valuable place on their bench or even trying to get into Slot’s starting XI.
