Reds legend Klopp brought the curtain down on his illustrious managerial career when he departed Anfield in the summer of 2024, leaving as a Premier League champion, a Champions League winner and one of the most beloved figures in Liverpool's storied history.Since his exit, there has been intense speculation surrounding a possible return to the touchline, yet Klopp has remained active in football as Red Bull's global head of soccer, a role that takes him across the globe overseeing operations at the organisation's portfolio of clubs.
Read our Privacy PolicyIt was in that capacity that Klopp visited New York Red Bulls for the unveiling of their new training complex earlier this week, and speaking at the occasion he revealed that the impressive new development had caught his attention."This morning was a moment when I walked in and thought 'oh that's something I could miss,' because so far I didn't miss anything since I stepped down as a manager," said Klopp."But going into a building like that on a good weather day ... thank God the weather was not great otherwise I would have maybe gone back [to management]. It's beautiful and it feels like a proper start."The training centre will be utilised by Brazil at this summer's World Cup, with Klopp assured that their manager, old rival Carlo Ancelotti, who faced his Liverpool side with Real Madrid, Napoli and Everton, will find it to his satisfaction."I didn't have to convince Brazil, they saw it and wanted to be here," Klopp added.
