Liverpool Transfer News Opta supercomputer has provided the latest Premier League title winners’ prediction and Liverpool face a major blow after their recent loss. Arsenal, the current first-place holders, lead the league title race with 16 points in seven matches, leading by one point ahead of the Merseysiders, who, after two consecutive PL losses, sit second with 15 points.

For the uninitiated, the Opta supercomputer runs 10,000 simulations of the competitions and based on that, it provides the data of the projected chances of clubs winning the title and average projected points. According to the pre-season data, Liverpool led the chart with a 28.5% chance of winning the title, with an average projected point total of 73.2.

However, as per the latest Opta data projections, the Gunners lead the race to win the PL this season with a 44.23% title chance and a 77.11 projected point total. The Merseyside giants have slipped to second place in the projected points table, just like the actual points table, with a 30.61% title chance and a projected point total of 74.91.
