Sunday will be a big day for Andoni Iraola as he heads back to the Vitality Stadium for the first time since leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.Iraola enjoyed three fantastic years with the Cherries, in which he bought and developed so many good players who have gone on to star in the Premier League.One of his best buys was Milos Kerkez, who became one of the top left-backs in the division after joining from AZ Alkmaar in 2023. However, since moving to Liverpool for £40m two years later, Kerkez has struggled to replicate that form, and as he heads back to the South Coast as an Iraola player once again, Reds fans are starting to lose patience with his erratic displays.

Nice fella, not Liverpool quality,” was one more view.There were some voices coming out in support of Kerkez and urging more time, with someone claiming he is “starting to show a few glimpses of what he can become” under Iraola, but on the whole it is clear that patience in the Hungary international is beginning to wear thin.He could still turn it around, and a good performance back on his old stamping ground could help to begin that process, but it is hard to shake the feeling that this is a very big day for Kerkez.
