The incident occurred at Anfield after Liverpool fought back to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

TV cameras picked up Isak removing his prized No.9 shirt and handing it up to an excited kid – only for an older fan to grab it instead, yanking it away for himself. Thankfully, justice prevailed, as a number of supporters and stewards quickly called out the shirt thief, and after a brief back-and-forth, the shirt was handed back to its intended recipient.

Unsurprisingly, this supporter’s ’embarrassing’ and ‘shameless’ actions did not go down well, with football fans of all clubs criticising him on social media. ‘A grown man fighting a kid for a football shirt… have some shame, brother’ one posted on Twitter. To put yourself in this situation on camera over a jersey…’ ‘The audacity of that Liverpool fan to swipe a shirt from a kid’s hands, though! like, do better, mate!’ Other fans praised those who intervened to ensure the shirt was handed back: ‘Fair play to those two guys for stepping in and making sure the kid got his chance.’ More to follow… For more stories like this, check our sport page.
