The 2026 Livergirls event will take place at Hotel Anfield next week to mark International Women's DayLiverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar will team up with Soccer Aid star Chelcee Grimes for the 2026 Livergirls International event next week.Reds fans from all over the world will flock to Hotel Anfield on Friday March 13 to celebrate International Women's Day, which takes place today (Sunday, March 8).The event, which is the brainchild of author and Liverpool fan and Hotel TIA owner Ranghild Lund Ansnes, aims to bring Reds fans from all over closer "to build friendships and strengthen networks, and platforms" and celebrate diversity and equality Liverpool's worldwide legion of female followers.The 2026 event will see the iconic Grobbelaar on hand as guest speaker as one of the most colourful characters in Liverpool's history re-tells tales from an illustrious career that saw him make 628 appearances and win six league titles and the European Cup in 1984.FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FC FACEBOOK PAGE! All the latest news and analysis from Anfield on the Liverpool Echo's dedicated LFC Facebook pageLive music will be provided by Kieran Molyneux (Kieo) from BOSS Nights and DJ Niamh, while this year's special guests will be Liverpool fanatic Reagan and her mum Vicky McLeod-Wilson, who both went viral on official club channels after being surprised by a visit from Alisson Becker at their textile studio earlier this year.Funds raised on the day will go towards Reagan's Silly Goose Foundation and SEN Millstead School, who are aiming to secure a new playground for children with additional needs and food for the event will be supplied by Woolton-based restaurant Botanico.The annual gathering is usually held at Hotel TIA, just a stone's throw from the Main Stand in L4, but its growing popularity has seen the event move to nearby Hotel Anfield, with over 100 expected on the day."These nights are so uplifting as the energy in the room is really recharging - full of joy, laughter and a gratitude for getting together across nations, cultures, neighbourhoods and walks of life," says organiser Ragnhild.
