Liverpool have had one of their Premier League fixtures moved to a new date due to the scheduling of European fixtures for the league phases of the respective UEFA competitions.The Reds discovered their fixture schedule for the Champions League last weekend, with their campaign kicking off with a home match against Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.The knock-on effect from that game has resulted in our Carabao Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield being brought by 24 hours to Tuesday 15 September, in order to accommodate the movement of Everton’s match at home to Wolves to the Wednesday of that week.Liverpool have now had a second fixture in quick succession being moved to a different date because of European scheduling.New date and time confirmed for Liverpool v BrightonAs confirmed via liverpoolfc.com, the Reds’ Premier League game at home to Brighton will now take place on Sunday 25 October with a 2pm kick-off, having originally been earmarked to remain in the traditonal Saturday 3pm slot.The change was necessitated by confirmation of the Seagulls’ Conference League fixtures, one of which sees them travel to Czechia to face Jablonec on Thursday 22 October.(Photo by Lewis Storey/Getty Images)Want more Empire of the Kop coverage?
