Liverpool must use the two-week break during the March international break to remove Arne Slot as their head coach. It has been clear for a while that Slot is not the man to take the Reds forward, and although the midweek win over Galatasaray provided some respite, Saturday’s defeat at Brighton exposed the Dutchman’s flaws once again.Liverpool appear to be waiting until the end of the season before reviewing whether or not to make a change, but there is a strong argument that they will fail to qualify for the Champions League if Slot remains in charge. The season can still end brightly for LiverpoolOne of the reasons Liverpool fans are so determined to see the back of Slot, is that the team genuinely still has a shot at ending the season strongly. The Liverpool owners are taking a huge gamble if they believe they can ride out the rest of the season under the 47-year-old, but you can understand them thinking there simply is no good time to relieve Slot of his duties. There is no need to wait. For now, it feels unlikely that Liverpool will pull the trigger on Slot, at least not until the end of the season, but if they have any hope of salvaging anything, they really need to swing the axe.
