Liverpool's injury list lengthened during the first half of Saturday's win over Brighton as Joe Gomez was forced off. Gomez is one of several Liverpool players who are currently injured and Arne Slot gave an update on a few of them after the game against Brighton.
"If I have a player who goes off with a muscle injury like Joe, that's normally not a positive thing," Slot told club media after Liverpool's win over Brighton. "I would not expect him to be in the squad next week [at Tottenham Hotspur].
I assume many people thought, 'If you have a defender, if you have a right full-back, why don't you play him?'" Dominik Szoboszlai seemingly hurt his ankle late in the Brighton clash (Image: Getty Images) On Szoboszlai, who went down with an ankle problem just before the 70-minute mark but continued and ended up playing 83 minutes, Slot said: "Dom, it was his ankle. "But we're also going to miss Mo [Salah] because he is going to go to the Africa Cup of Nations." Bradley picked up his fifth league booking of the season against Leeds last weekend, ruling him out of the game against Brighton, while Frimpong has been missing for several weeks with a hamstring problem.
