Two games into the 2026/27 season, it probably hasn’t been the start Andoni Iraola or Liverpool fans were dreaming of.The Merseyside outfit managed to salvage a draw against Newcastle United on the opening weekend after a very late goal from Dominik Szoboszlai.Now, after Alisson Becker gave away a penalty against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Liverpool once again had to come from behind to rescue a point by the same scoreline.On the back of this weekend’s stalemate, the Reds are now only the second team in Premier League history to start their season with back-to-back 2-2 draws.The only other side to do so was Everton in 2014/15 when they drew with Leicester City on August 14 of 2014 and were then held by Arsenal a week later.
