Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike will spearhead the Liverpool attack as Arne Slot grapples with a lack of forward options for the Champions League clash against Inter. Isak comes into a two-pronged attack, while Florian Wirtz drops to the bench after three starts inside a week with Alexis Mac Allister returning to the line-up in what is expected to be a diamond midfield with Ryan Gravenberch at the base and Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones the wide men.

Alisson Becker is the goalkeeper, while there are two changes in defence in the wide areas. Joe Gomez replaces Conor Bradley at right-back while Andy Robertson is in for Milos Kerkez on the left.

With Federico Chiesa having not recovered from illness, Liverpool’s bench has only three senior outfield players, with teenagers Trey Nyoni, Rio Ngumoha and Wellity Lucky among the substitutes. LIVERPOOL (4-4-2): Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones; Isak, Ekitike.
