Liverpool teenager Kai Morrall is reportedly set to join Leeds United in a blow to the Reds' academy system. Morrall, 15, joined Liverpool at Under-9 level and has progressed through the ranks on Merseyside.
And in a bigger setback, Liverpool will not receive any compensation from its Premier League rivals for the teenager, because Morrall has come to a mutual agreement with the club. Morrall, who represents Republic of Ireland at youth level, took to social media to confirm his exit from Liverpool.
He wrote: "After 8 years at Liverpool, it is time for me to say goodbye. Both Nyoni and Ngumoha have since signed their first professional deals with Liverpool but Morrall's future lies away from the club.
