When he’s played for the Anfield outfit this season, he’s often been one of the better players on the pitch and has more than proven his worth. Steven Gerrard’s own experience in midfield could help Trey Nyoni massively improveAt the moment, Nyoni is still just 18 years old, and, although the Gers have the likes of Connor Barron and Nico Raskin among their ranks, it’s clear that something else is needed.
However, seeing as though Gerrard is one of Liverpool’s best midfielders ever, it feels like his experience could be transferred through to Nyoni and help him develop into a world-class player. At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen, but if Gerrard does make a return to Ibrox, it would be a surprise not to see him try to bring a couple of Liverpool’s younger players to the team.
