Catch all the latest Liverpool transfer news and rumors, including updates on Bradley Barcola, Bazoumana Toure, and more during the summer transfer window.Bradley Barcola continues to be linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window(Image: (Photo by Jean Catuffe/Getty Images))The summer transfer window opens soon, and for Liverpool it represents a tough, but interesting dynamic as the hierarchy considers which players will be suitable for the squad rebuild.Change has already been the theme of the early business done by the Reds, with Arne Slot dismissed in favour of Andoni Iraola making the move to Anfield as head coach. That switch has underlined a clear shift from the patient possession-based football towards the high-pressing style that brought success under Jurgen Klopp. That decision will have knock-on effects to the business that the club will conduct this summer, with a clear need to inject some energy and pace into the team.Links continue to arise, particularly in the forward areas, with plenty of players appearing on the radar for Liverpool.
So, with that said, here's a look at the latest transfer news and rumors for the summer market.Bazoumana Toure transfer linksBazoumana Toure has emerged as a transfer option for Liverpool this summer(Image: (Photo by Isaiah Vazquez/Getty Images))Liverpool is looking to add an attacking spark in the forward areas, and with that in mind, Teamtalk reports that youngster Bazoumana Toure has emerged as a potential option in the summer transfer window. The report claims that the Reds are leading Premier League rivals Manchester United in the chase for the 20-year-old, who is set to star at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast.Formal interest has been registered by Liverpool to Toure's team, Hoffenheim, having viewed him as a long-term option on the left flank. The Merseyside outfit and Man United aren't the only teams in the mix, as Aston Villa, Newcastle, Brighton, and Brentford are all believed to be showing interest as well.Any move won't come cheap, as Hoffenheim has placed a transfer fee of roughly $58 million on the winger, as teams line up to try and win his signature.Toure joined the German club back in February 2025 from Swedish side Hammarby, scoring five goals and assisting 12 in his most recent campaign.Liverpool.com says: While Bazoumana Toure is certainly a promising option, it's tough to see exactly where he would fit in at Liverpool in the short-term.Iraola will have Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha to call upon on the left flank, giving a blend of experience and youthful energy to bring some balance to the attacking ranks.Adding Toure may mean that two youngsters are competing for limited minutes as they are managed into senior football without pushing them too far, too quickly. If, hypothetically, Gakpo was to leave, then having too many young options may limit the consistency out of the side as they need time and experience to get better and more consistent.Bradley Barcola updateBradley Barcola is a transfer target for Liverpool this summer(Image: Photo by Nicolò Campo/LightRocket via Getty Images))Another forward on the Liverpool radar is Bradley Barcola, who has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield if he leaves Paris-Saint Germain this summer. The France international is entering the final two years of his deal at the Parc des Princes, and while talks over an extension have been ongoing for some time, there has been no indication that progress has been made towards a solution. With that in mind, Sky Sports reports that PSG could be willing to allow the 23-year-old to leave this summer, in a potential boost to Liverpool's chances.Iraola's side are likely to battle against some other big clubs for Barcola's signature, if he decides to leave after the World Cup, as Premier League rivals Arsenal has emerged as a potential option.Liverpool.com says: A move for Barcola makes sense, given that he has that blend of quality and experience with long-term potential at such a young age.The winger largely plays on the left, so there would be concerns again about the potential blocking of a pathway for Ngumoha, but it would also take away the possible pressure on the 17-year-old of stepping up and contributing immediately.Barcola brings a nice blend of pace, skill, and end product. A team will land a great deal for him, if he is available, so Liverpool should look to snap him up.
