Liverpool transfer news and rumors latest as reports claim that contact has been made to sign Mexican wonderkid Gilberto Mora, while transfer-linked midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi moves close to a transfer elsewhereAyyoub Bouaddi impressed for Morocco at the World Cup(Image: Getty Images)The end of July is here, and as August beckons, Liverpool is looking ahead to a busy month with plenty of action coming on and off the field. On the pitch, the Reds will ramp up preseason preparations as the end of the week marks the conclusion of the team's tour of the United States, with a match against Leeds on Sunday, following Wednesday's 1-0 win over Wrexham in New York.As key stars continue to make their return to the camp, a look ahead at the new season at the end of August also means a rush to get transfers over the line. So far, Liverpool has made two key signings, but there is an expectation that more is needed over the coming weeks to compete at the top level. So, with that said, Liverpool.com takes a look at the latest transfer news and rumors ahead of another busy day of action.Gilberto Mora (Club Tijuana)Liverpool continues to be linked with a move for Club Tijuana and Mexico wonderkid Gilberto Mora, after his impressive showing at the World Cup.According to TeamTalk, the Reds have made direct contact with the playmaker's representatives to learn about the terms of a potential deal.Gilberto Mora, 17, was the youngest player at this year's World Cup(Image: Getty Images)The 17-year-old has been scouted closely by Liverpool, along with Arsenal, while Manchester City, Chelsea, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and PSG are all claimed to be in the mix. There is a release clause in Mora's deal, but as he cannot move to the Premier League until he is 18, clubs are jostling for position to land his signature.Liverpool.com says: Considering how Liverpool has moved for young talent in the past year, it's no surprise that someone like Mora would be on the club's radar.
A release clause in his deal makes it easy to get a deal done on a club-to-club basis, but the challenge was always going to surround convincing him that Anfield is the right place to be. Moving toward his representatives is certainly a first step, and while it may take some time, the Reds could be the club to benefit from making an early move for such a huge talent.Ayyoub Bouaddi (Lille)Another World Cup wonderkid who has been linked to Liverpool is Ayyoub Bouaddi, who impressed in his midfield role for Morocco in America. The Reds were rumored to be interested, along with a whole host of Premier League teams, with the Lille star appearing as a clear option for the long-term to those sides. However, it seems as though the 18-year-old will be out of Liverpool's grasp, as Santi Aouna reports that Manchester City is close to landing him, with an agreement with Lille now "imminent."It's unclear whether Bouaddi will return to Lille on a loan or whether he will join up with Man City straight away, as the details are being finalized.Liverpool.com says: While Bouaddi has shown plenty of quality and potential, it's not a move that Liverpool should worry about missing out on.
The huge midfield market this summer, combined with his World Cup performances, has seen the youngster's valuation rise exponentially, something that would make any deal tough to do. Combine that with Lille requesting a loan, and it becomes tough to see where the deal would work for the Reds immediately.
